AT THE NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL COMPUTING CONFERENCE, Philadelphia, PA, June 28,
2005 - Beret Applications LLC announces that all of their applications have
been updated to support the LifeDrive™ Mobile Manager, bringing learning and
fun to this new generation of Palm OS® devices. Beret also announces that its
applications are also available for the Tungsten™ E2 handheld.
All applications are available for immediate download from their web site at
www.beret.com.
"By supporting the LifeDrive, we are showing our commitment to the future of
the Palm OS and palmOne," said Christine Frauenhofer, President of Beret
Applications LLC. "By ensuring that our applications support this and other
recent devices, like the Tungsten E2, we continue to show that mobile devices
enhance a child’s learning process."
All applications support these and other palmOne devices. The applications
include:
- Herbert’s Math Time: practice basic arithmetic in a way similar to the current paper-and-pencil approach, complete with borrowing and carry support.
- Fraction Math Time: learn, practice, and play with fractions.
- Herbert’s 50 U. S. States: learn fun facts about the states that make up the United States of America.
- Herbert and the Presidents: learn about the men who have served as President of the United States of America
- Beret Study Buddy: Vocabulary: practice and memorize lists of words for any subject
- Words 2 Grow: learn word lists for older students – includes over 1000 of the most common words used on standardized tests like the SAT®.

- Crossword Time: play a fun crossword puzzle game that use word lists from both Beret Study Buddy: Vocabulary and Words 2 Grow (as well as its own word list).
All of Beret’s applications employ a unique combination of practice and games
that enhance the learning experience. The exact combination and type of games
vary between applications, but they range from Tic-Tac-Toe and simple board
games to interactive arcade-style games. "Think of these applications not
only as endless electronic workbooks, but also as fun games that will engage
students," adds Frauenhofer.
